Notarization and macOS, what it does, why you need it, and how the OS handles things when you don't have it.
Beginning with macOS 10.14.5, macOS will be more aggressive about requiring notarization of some application binaries. What is notarization for? What does it ensure that developers do? How does it benefit you as a user? How do you need to prepare your environment to check for notarization, provide exceptions for critical utilities, and plan fo the future? This session will take you through the basics of what it means to have a notarized binary, how notarization occurs during the build cycle, what it can mean if an application isn't notarized, and how to handle whitelisting applications with UAKEL and UAMDM.
